Certified IS 456 Structural RCC Design & Bar Bending Schedules

Most residential buildings in the Kumaon / NCR belt suffer from structural cracks due to uncalculated thumb-rule steel. Er. Rahul Saxena provides forensic RCC design, column setting-out grids, and exact cutting lengths.

1. Column Setting-Out & Centerline Grid

Clear diagonal checks and orthogonal grid references (V1-V4, H1-H6) that site masons can execute with a steel tape without dimensional deviation. Every column size ($230\times 300\text{mm}$, $230\times 380\text{mm}$, or $300\times 450\text{mm}$) is determined by axial load calculations.

  • Isolated & eccentric boundary footing sizing (SBC verified)
  • Plinth beam (+0.45m level) framing layout with 50mm DPC
  • True diagonal measurements between all four corner columns

2. Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) — 0% Scrap

Steel represents 25-30% of total civil construction budget. Our bar bending schedules calculate exact cutting lengths, development lengths ($L_d$), hook allowances, and lap splices for every diameter (8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 20mm), cutting steel wastage from the industry 8% down to under 1%.

  • Beam rebar: top/bottom continuous, curtailment, and 2-legged shear stirrups
  • Slab rebar: alternate cranked bars at 0.25L with distribution steel
  • Certified bar cutting schedule ready for steel bar benders

3. IS 13920 Ductile Detailing (Seismic Zone IV)

Rudrapur, Bilaspur, and the entire Terai-Bhabhar foothill belt fall in high-risk Earthquake Zone IV. We engineer ductile confinement zones, closely spaced 135° hook ties at beam-column junctions, and proper splice stagger to ensure life safety during earthquakes.

  • 135° hook cross-ties preventing concrete core blowout
  • Critical confinement zone ($L_0$) detailing at column ends
  • Beam-column moment joint reinforcement drawings

4. Structural Forensic Audit & Defect Curing

Noticing wall cracks, slab deflection, or beam honeycombing in your newly cast slab? Er. Rahul Saxena conducts on-site non-destructive forensic inspections, isolates the root failure cause (differential settlement, shear failure, rebar corrosion), and prescribes certified retrofit solutions.

  • Diagonal settlement crack vs. shrinkage crack diagnosis
  • RCC column micro-jacketing and carbon-fiber wrap specs
  • Cantilever balcony load verification before adding upper floors
